We are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager specializing in exhibition or showroom projects within the commercial sector. This role requires expertise in project cost calculation, budget management, contract preparation, and overseeing the entire design phase from negotiation to handover.

Your Role:

As a Design Project Manager in Shanghai, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring the seamless execution of exhibition and showroom projects from initiation through to completion. Your responsibilities will include managing project finances, developing project plans, and maintaining client and supplier relationships throughout the design process.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

• Calculate and prepare project costs, budgets, and payment terms, closely monitoring payment stages and regularly reporting progress to management.
• Prepare quotations and contracts, participating in business negotiations.
• Manage the entire design phase, from negotiations and bidding through to design handover, ensuring timely and quality delivery of design results.
• Develop project plans and timelines, managing suppliers and monitoring project progress according to these plans.
• Handle the design change control process and prepare internal and external reports to support risk management.
• Coordinate project requirements, facilitating communications between clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Present design results to clients during the presentation stage.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

A strong cv and portfolio is expected, showcasing a range of design projects as evidence of the following experience, qualifications and skills:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in design or a related field, with a preference for exhibition-related majors.

Professional Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in commercial projects, focusing on exhibition or showroom projects.

Project Management Skills:

Experience in managing exhibition and auto show projects, including client communication and establishing client relationships.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong work ethic, diligence, good organizational abilities, and a high sense of responsibility.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English and Chinese. Proficiency in German is advantageous.

Adaptability:

Proactive attitude towards work and adaptability to travel requirements.
